KFC approached TheBigChoice.com to conduct school liaisons and organise careers workshops at 11 schools across the UK, throughout the spring and summer terms of the 2013/14 academic year.
The objective of the workshops was to provide invaluable careers advice to students in years 12 and 13 and explain the benefits of the KFC apprenticeship schemes.
Using it's unique relationships with key influencers (head teachers and careers advisors) at schools across the UK, TheBigChoice.com's marketing experts were able to arrange and deliver sessions at 11 schools that fitted KFC’s criteria.
Working closely with KFC and the schools, TheBigChoice.com was able to deliver sessions that were of value to both parties and pupils that attended.
Careers workshops highlighting the benefits of the KFC apprenticeship schemes were successfully delivered to the target age group at the target schools.
What the schools thought:
“The session KFC ran for us was excellent. The fact that different members of the team had reached their positions in a variety of different ways was particularly good, as students could clearly see that career paths are very individual.”
- Jenny Williams, BTEC Business Tutor
“Highlighting these schemes to students when they’re considering options initially is really useful. I’ve spoken to various students since then and it seems that many of them did actually apply to the trainee scheme after the workshop, so that’s great!”
- Sean Parsons, Work Experience Co-ordinator
