Open University is a public distance learning and research universtiy, and one of the biggest universities for UK education. It's appointed advertising agency approached TheBigChoice.com with a brief for targeting postgraduate students in the UK.
The campaign needed to promote the distance learning courses and the courses that the university provide through a mixture of correspondence and contact at their ‘in-country’ centres/partner institutions.
The campaign centred around the deployment of 19 different direct email campaigns. The emails were sent to appropriate segments of TheBigChoice.com subscriber databases, who were seeking a postgraduate course.
Following the Open Universities set criteria, TheBigChoice.com filtered its database by:
- Subject studied at undergraduate level
- University where the degree was or is being attained
- Subject of interest for postgradaute course
- First degree classification
The results generated by the campaign have been consistently excellent, feedback from the client confirms that clicks have been converting into enquiries and applications.
